Awesome service, awesome food. Highly recommend anyone that wants GOOD Grandma cookin, definitely a place to go. We will be going back very soon.
First off we love catfish. We cook our own also. We asked for extra crispy and waited 20 mins and asked what was taking so long she said they were cooking extra crispy. Folks if those fish were extra crispy i would hate to have seen soggy. Flavor was ok. Couldn't tell skin from meat. The hush puppies flavor was good and smelled good but were not hot and not crunchy either. We asked for hot ones. She brought three out and they were very hot but loaded with grease and soft. We ordered seconds on fish and expected crunchy on second batch. My husband ate his but they were soggy and mine were soggy and i flipped it over to take fish from other side and grease was tan all over plate. Couldn't eat it. We went to pay and lady asked me was it good... Door wide open but i was nice. Told her fish was soggy and hush puppies. She offered to do something told her no that i wasn't trying to get it free. I paid for it. She got owner over there and she told him. He shrugged his shoulders at me and said oh well i was the only one that complained. At that point i told him that maybe he should go check the grease temp in his kitchen at least. He walked off. My family has always had resturants and as owners and managers they have Never acted this way to people. Rant over.
This place is a amazing place to go to for great food it's cooked very well taste really good. When you. Walk in to the restaurant you automatically feel like you're in a old school style old country buffet. The sweet tea is wonderful. We came here on our wedding day.
Good food, GREAT service! Prices are phenomenal! Cafeteria style so you get your food from a serving bar and then sit. We will be back when we are in the area! ☺️
