The place is small, bright and lively. The menu is a little small but I liked it because I didn't feel overwhelmed with the options. The owner and staff was very nice and they served fantastic food! According to my brother, who is a huge fan of this restaurant, many of the college students refer to the side of house fries as "Jesus Fries." They are crunchy on the outside and soft and smooth on the inside, they essentially melt in your mouth. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Best sauerkraut I have had since my grandmother passed. Loved the staff. Food was great. Definitely a new favorite.
The couple here is from Germany and Switzerland. They are extremely nice and prepare excellent authentic German food. They have a large outdoor sitting area that is great to take in the fresh mountain air of Dahlonega. The have great beer on draft and sometimes they even have live music.
Good, authentic sausages. We had the sampler of sausages, the veal one was delicious! The long skinny sausage was a bit dry. They soft pretzel was good, but it only came with spreadable Brie cheese or spicy brown mustard. They have a pretzel and cheese fondue I'd love to try, but it's by reservation only...next time maybe! It has a nice little outdoor seating area that is pet friendly. Small portion sizes. I'd agree, it's a little pricy.
If you visit Dahlonega, you're doing yourself a disservice if you miss Bratzeit. Absolutely authentic German food and friendly service. We were in town for 2 days and ate here both days just to get everything on the menu, and it was worth it.
