This place is awesome! Great spot just 1 block from the town square so easy to get to shops and restaurants. Laid back front porch rockers to sit and watch people go by. And you can order take out from the restaurant inside and eat their delicious southern cooked food in the porch rockers! Great experience here!
Historic house close to historic courthouse gold museum. The menu was family style, everything came out in bowls, fried chicken, country fried steak and ham. Collard greens, creamed corn, fried okra, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans. Food was excellent along with service. Everything was unlimited, if you empty a bowl, they bring more. Then comes unlimited dessert, strawberry shortcake and blueberry cobbler. Service was excellent and were right on top of taking care of us. I highly recommend you go here. While there check out the gold mine shaft discovered in 2006. That's another story.
Took a Senior Saints group from church. Accommodated group of 40 well. Very nice inside. Food was ok. I would not pay that much again. Good parking for 3 -15 passenger buses.
Delicious fried okra, corn, green beans, greens, ham, fried chicken, roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes and more! All served family style, all you can eat. Dessert is included. Our choices were strawberry shortcake and pecan pie. Staff was friendly and helpful. About $20 a person. They have a gold mine you can check out before or after you eat.
Excellent food, A+ service. The atmosphere is very warm & inviting. Suggestion though, put a fire in the fireplace for extra ambiance in the fall & winter.
