While visiting Dahlongega, coming out of a shop almost 4 blocks away, we caught the aroma of a delicious barbeque. Asking a local resident they directed us through the Town square and down the street to Smokin Gold BBQ. The walk was well worth it! Great pulled pork sandwiches with a selection of 4 different levels of heat. Cole saw had just the right sweetness and bite. Brunswick stew was well seasoned and full of meat. The covered outdoor dining area was comfortable in the afternoon sun. And we noticed heaters in the area should the weather turn any cooler. A good, inexpensive traditional BBQ place. Offering smoked chicken, brisket, and rib tips in addition to the pork. A no-go only menu included slabs of ribs and other traditional BBQ fare. We'd definitely go back.
I stopped in 10 minutes before closing tonight to buy a decorative sign I saw in the window. The gentleman working there was kind enough to get the sign out of the window display since it was the last one, and allowed me to continue to look, even though they were about to close. I quickly browsed and found another item to purchase. I appreciate the fact that he allowed me to continue shopping, even right before closing. I will definitely be back to purchase more things. The prices are fantastic and they have a great selection!
Great destination spot to shop for items and gifts. Great staff and friendly people. The $.05 coffee is good and fresh. Cookbooks and shirt selection are unique for the area.
Love this place!! Always has quirky, unique gifts & nostalgic candy for sale. Reasonable pricing. Always visit when I come to town.
Quaint and kind of old fashioned. Filled with lots of gifts and a pleasure to walk around.Some good mineral specimens. I could have spent a good hour just browsing in here. Loved it.
