The place is spotless. The machines do a nice job. The owner is on site, and he's very personable and helpful.
I'm not sure where the 4 star ratings came from.... I'm here for the first time ever and the machines here are older than me. It took $20 to wash 3 comforters, 2 of which were in the same mega load wash, per recommendation of the owner. The two didn't even get half way wet, much less washed, and then more $$ to dry the one of three that was cleaned. I swear the dryers here were made in 1970... Now to head home and reattempt to wash the comforters that costed me money for nothing. Won't be back.
Great service! The man who runs it was very helpful and the machines worked well. No damage to the clothes or soap residue and thoroughly cleaned!
How does one review a self-service coin-op laundry? Well, to me, it should be clean, everything functional, and well-located. Yes, yes, and yes. But better than that, it's nice to do business with someone who obviously puts his heart and soul into his every day's work. For that opportunity, I'd pay double, but it wouldn't be necessary here!
I stopped in to wash my very dirty hiking clothes. The owner of this establishment was there, and helped me with everything ... getting change, soap, etc. Then we talked and talked while the clothes went 'round.
The laundromat has vending of soap and soft drinks, and as a bonus, a Moe's restaurant and Dunkin's are right next door.
I went in with two small kids trying to figure out how I would manage, but the owner came right over to help me and get me set up. He got me change and even helped me get my comforters in the right machines because I was holding my baby. All my laundry came out clean and dry and I had amazing service! I would definitely go back!
I think every dime a person earns, and how it is spent, are important choices ... not to be left to chance. Spending your quarters here reinforces the local economy of Dahlonega, and the invisible web of inter-relatedness of good people. I hope you'll choose wisely.
