The staff is very friendly. The lawn is always mowed. Etowah River Campground is a cute country setting Ry park. My only issue is the cell phone service.
Great place to get away or live..camping..fishing all the fun of outdoors
My two teenage boys wanted to go camping here. Over half of this campground is home to regular residents in campers. The lady at the registration desk was very kind and helpful. My boys were put in a well lit area close to the office. My problem is some of the residents are on the ROUGH side. My boys campsite was looted. I had spent nearly $500 on camping equipment and gear and they had stolen some expensive items. They ended up wanting to come home early because people were tramping through their campsite to get to other places in the park. In my opinion I'd say if you plan on camping here be prepared to have to run people off and watch your stuff very well. We weren't allowed any refund on the 4 days I had paid for. My boys only stayed one. If it was just changing their minds I could understand, but the fact that it was due to not feeling safe, I could not.
Beautiful clean place very friendly people. My only complaint was the amount of cars that came through. The campground was about half full but it seemed there were cars coming through all the time.
For me this place WAS a true retreat...a sweet little get away... It was a quite, somewhat exclusive area, with friendly people, access to the river & beautiful night skies... when it wasn't raining.. Lol
